My EibPC does not support IRTrans yet.

Well, you could program the RS232 to communicate with it, though.
Perhaps you look at the 1-Wire macros for a first start

I think without a linux server, Homeserver, EibPort or Eisbär it is not possible to use IRtrans.

i didn't mention that B.IQ is scrap!
in our house i use them as well - but without IR!

If chipset/controller on the 3 and 5 BIQ are the same then it should be possible to flash or set the 3 biq to think it is a 5..

unfortunately i don't have a 5 to check the chip/controller coding or type numbers...

It is only possible to program the existing physical buttons on the BIQ with exactly the same functionality.

Perhaps this is changing in the future?!
I think it will be not possible to have more buttons because then the IR codes are not defined.
But I want to use my Harmony to call other group address than on the BIQ buttons.

Hallo allen,

i have a small question about the BIQ 3 IR RTR..

why have a remote control with 10 (times 3, a/b/c/ group) buttons where it is only possible to use the 3/(6) physical buttons on the BIQ.

Or is there a 'nifty' way to program virtual buttons?

Just asking.. :-)
