Naja, das sagt PA doch, es will --system sonst mag es nicht als root laufen.. (PA wurde als Mixer für Desktop-Anwendungen gemacht, tut in diesem Fall zwar genau was wir erreichen wollen, wehrt sich aber daher eben ein bisschen, weil das was wir hier vorhaben im angestammten Anwendungsfall totaler nonsens wäre..)
Den Rest hat Volker schon: wenns das Wohnzimmer in alsa nicht gibt, naja, dann gehts auch ned..
Was ich daran nicht verstehe, das init-script von PA tut das alles AFAIR schon, schau ich mir morgen nochmal an..

Und: root darf das, der braucht keine Gruppen ausser der Programmierer wollte uns ägern und hat sinnfreie zusätzliche checks eingebaut

Du zielst mit der default.pa mit dem sink pawohn auf ein PCM Service (in der asound.conf) namens dmixerwohn. Dmixerwohn existiert aber in deiner asound.conf nicht.

Entweder:
Dmixerwohn definieren

Oder:
Entsprechende Zeile in der default.pa aus kommentieren.

Ist root Mitglied der audio Gruppe und der pulse-rt, pulse, pulse-access gruppen?

wie du vermutlich auch schon gesehen hast ist das load-module des pawohn sinks das Problem.
Wie sieht den deine asound.conf aus? Bzw deine default.pa?

alsoentweder über Putty per ssh an der konsole anmeldem.

oder per webmin bei: apt-get install -y ...... eingeben. Das -y bestätigt jede frage mit yes. ist aber nicht zu empfehlen. Besser Putty verwenden...

Ich habe mich als Root im Wiregate angemeldet, bin dann auf "Sonstiges" -> "Kommandozeile" gegangen. Dort habe ich dann die Möglichkeit, die Befehle einzugeben.

sollte der aktuelle stand sein, gab nichts mehr zu verbessern da es so stabil läuft . FRY hat noch ein spitzen plugin für ansagen gebastelt, aber dass brauchst ja erst wenn der rest läuft.

Wiregate ist eingetroffen! :-)

Die Logilink Soundkarte habe ich am USB angeschlossen. Wie geht es nun weiter?

Im Wiregate als Root anmelden, auf die Konsole und dann wie von vlamers in den Codeschnipseln beschrieben Alsa, usw. installieren und dann weiter wie dort beschrieben mpd einrichten!?

Ich frage deshalb, weil wenn das so nicht läuft bekomme ich normalerweise den Urzustand nicht wieder hin! Unter Linux bzw. genauer Ubuntu mache ich dann eine komplette Neuinstallation.
Ich weiß aber nicht, ob das mit dem Wiregate auch möglich ist und mit Debian kenne ich mich nun überhaupt nicht aus.
Oder anders gefragt: wie kann ich es möglichst vermeiden, mein Wiregate hinzurichten? ;-)

Ist das in den Code-Schnipseln von vlamers für mpd noch der aktuelle Stand oder hat sich das mittlerweile weiter entwickelt?

Die Telegramme könnte ich ja auch über den EibPC loggen.

Kann man, das Wiregate gibt eine herrliche Schnittstelle für den EibPC her, ohne Limits auf x Verbindungen Und wenn man das Logging des WG (Trillionen..) mal hat glaube ich kaum das man da wieder zurück will- aber es gibt viele Wege nach Rom und alle gehen

Wichtig ist nur a+b+c+ETS -> WG -> KNX weil die Dinger nur eine Verbindung können (am WG gibts auch ein Limit, 65.536 )

Naja, kommt drauf an welche (die neuen gehen mit meinem daemon nicht, weil sich noch niemand drum gekümmert hat und ich hab keine solche.. Aber mit dem RIO-Plugin sollten die auch klappen - ungetested und beides ausserhalb des Forums eben unsupported)
Aber es geht, da bin ich mir mit Stereo-Ton in beiden Ohren davon - recht sicher

ich habe leider tagsüber auf der Arbeit keinen Zugriff aufs Forum (Foren hat unsere IT gesperrt). Außerdem habe ich dort auch keine Zeit für priv. Sachen.

Ich habe als IP-Schnittstelle eine Elsner KNX PS640-IP. Die funktioniert ja hoffentlich. Die Telegramme könnte ich ja auch über den EibPC loggen.

Ich habe heute mit Eurer Hotline telefoniert und habe dann (nachdem ich dort die gleiche Information erhalten habe wie Du Sie jetzt hier geschrieben hast) den Versand des Wiregate freigegeben.

Für mich ist nun erst einmal wichtig, dass ich möglichst zügig den Russound ans Laufen bekomme. Der steht nun schon knapp ein halbes Jahr ungenutzt hier rum.

Wird z.B. die eine weitere Schnittstelle (TP-UART) oder sonstiges benötigt?

ich hatte Dir gerade das per Mail beantwortet, da Du heute früh noch ein Ticket aufgemacht hast bei uns.

In diesem Thread hier sind die kompatiblen Schnittstellen gelistet:

So richtig mit allen Features (Logging aller Telegramme über lange Zeiträume, Diagnostik usw.) funktioniert es nur mit dem TP-UART Interface.

Insofern Du keine freie USB-Schnittstelle oder keinen KNXnet/IP Router hast, wäre das TP-UART anzuraten.
