MDT AKU (universal actuator) problems

did you connect the main voltage at the lower right connector ?
Then it should work.

there is nothing special on the AKU actors. The version i have is working exactly like the others in terms of programming and actoring.

Maybe you device is broken?

You can send MDT an Email.... the support is very good.

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has any experience with these specific actuators. I've wired together a test group of devices before installation to check everything is working and setup the software, I have MDT dimmers,actuators, line couplers etc and all are responding and accepting ETS download fine except for the 8 AKU universal actuators, a mix of 8 and 16 output models.

For some reason they simply don't respond to the programming button being pressed, the LED remains unlit and ETS doesn't pick it up. It's not the wiring, I've swapped the connector block out of one and replaced it in a dimmer which responded normally, if it were one or two I'd assume a problem with that device but it's just the AKU models acting up.

I feel I must be missing something obvious but having never used these particular devices could someone more familiar enlighten me! They don't have a secondary yellow/white input for auxiliary voltage like an IP interface and I can't understand why they'd behave differently to the normal MDT actuators, they're effectively the same thing with modified software to handle shutters/windows.
