ABB 6128-102 and 6120 bus coupler

Hi Carsten,
I did actually get to the bottom of the problem. You need to download additional software called Powertool to program the 6128-102 Flush-mounted RTR.The VD file is imported into ETS from the powertool folder rather than the main ABB database. When you then go to edit parameters in ETS, the software Powertool opens where you can set it up. Once this is done you can then download to either the 6120/12 or 6120/13 bus couplers.

Hi everyone,
My name is Neil Cummins and I live in Ireland. KNX is fairly new to Ireland but I have completed KNX training in ABB Heidelberg through my employer. At the moment I am starting to install KNX into my house on a phased basis.
Everything was going well untill yesterday. In the ABB catalogue for the 6128-102 Flush-mounted RTR with switch sensor, 2gangit says it is to be used with 6120/12 and 6120/13 bus couplers. I ordered the 6120/12 but when I try to download the application program it says its a incompatible BCU version and that 13 is required. All ABB documentation says 6120-12 can be used.
Has anyone else had this problem or is there anything I can do. I am pretty sure I have the correct database product file. Is there another version I can use.
I don't want to use the 6120/13 version unless I have to as it's more expense plus I'll also need another seperate power supply which I think is also 24v.
Any help would be great.

Ich möchte nicht die 6120/13-Version zu verwenden, es sei denn, ich zu, haben wie es weitere Kosten plus ist ich auch einen anderen separater-Netzteil benötigen, der meines Erachtens auch 24v ist.
Hilfe wäre sehr.

do you have the answer for your problem? I have the same problem now. I think that the bus couplers 6120 need a new firmware, but i'm not sure. On the busch-Jäger homepage is written that the 6120 bus couplers need firmware 2.1.
