In the backyard of our house, I have a pond which is sometimes visited by a blue heron. I would like to detect the presence of the blue heron and act accordingly (eg. put on the lights, make some noise through outdoor speakers, ...). But I don't want to act when we are outside in the backyard. Do you have any tips how I can accomplish this?
My KNX devices I was thinking of using:
In the backyard I have a Merten Argus 220 presence detector. In the frontyard I also have a Merten Argus 220 presence detector. In house I have a binary input connected to the home alarm (so I have a value 1 when the home alarm is on and a value 0 when the home alarm is off).
I was thinking to disable the backyard presence detector when the home alarm is off (so assuming that we are at home and the blue heron won't come). When the alarm is on, the backyard presence detector should be enabled. But when there is movement in the frontyard, the backyard presence detector should be disabled for 30 minutes (so assuming that we come home but go straight to the backyard without shutting down the alarm of the house).
Do you think this scenario is full proof?
How should I enable and disable the backyard presence detector in case the alarm is on/off and overwrite that value for 30 minutes based upon the frontyard presence detector?
