But you have been advocating so many times in favor of the N146 vs N148, i.e. routing vs tunnelling.

Oh well, it's an old story, although you might remember.
It's a story about Cisco 7970 + Asterisk + HS + Visu where I've been stuck due to difficulties. The final word was from Makki

Two words: not possible.
HS is an EIBlib/IP (aka iETS) Server, eibd is and needs either a KNXnet/IP Routing or Tunneling Server.

That's why I was turning to Santa.

What do you want exactly to do with this feature? I can access my HS from everywhere, I can access my KNX-Installation from everywhere (without anything else). I don't need antyhing more. So please, what is your special need?

Isn't it a pitty to have to install yet another device/PC (and all the related constraints), with Linux and eibd just to have the routing feature ?
Knowing that the HomeServer has already 80-90% of the needed infrastructure ?
Isn't it frustrating to have a 1.750€ device and ressort to a free (public domain) product to benefit from a missing feature ?

What about putting the discussion to neutral ? and start a poll (don't know how to do that, but I'm sure a friend could take the initiative). With questions like:
Who is eventually interested (nice to have)
Who needs it (needed)
Who is absolutely not interested (no thanks)

Maybe the poll could bring a definite answer to those open questions ?

PS: Isn't Santa the appropriate place to ask for the most irrational things

Dear Santa,

How is life at the North Pole ?
I hope you have had a nice summer holiday.

Just to remind you that Christmas is a little 3 month away and mhmmm .... maybe you can have a look on my wishlist ? again ?

You don't remember ? No problem, it's still the same as last year (as you didn't fullfill any of my wishes ).

• I wish you could make my HomeServer to be programmed like any other computer on planet earth (and kick the crummy Python out).
• I wish you could make my HomeServer act as true KNX router (instead of this crummy implementation).
• I wish you could make the HomeServer much cheaper, so friends and relatives can buy one too.
• I wish you could provide me with decent Web statistiques, so I can check who visited my Visu, for howlong etc, just like any other Web server on planet earth.

I'm still a poor and lonesome boy, even more poor than last year since the french government is raising taxes.

I've been gentle and nice all year long, kept my big mouth (almost) shut, I've been reading the forum every day, haven't bothered the admins too much (except NilsS, but he deserves it )

In the mean time, it has been "raining" some updates for my HomeServer, each time I run and check the changelog, but nada, nothing for me .

So, dear Santa, I've to turn to you again, hoping that you can do something for me this year. If you could bring me just one feature, I would love to have my HomeServer act as true KNX router.

Please don't send me an EisBär! I'm sure it's a gentle animal, but I've already a dog and a golden fish (and my wife ).

Und es könnte wirklich so sein, dass er gerade bei uns im Land von Heidi und Geissenpeter ist. Denn wir haben "Chlousertag" und meine Frau hat gestern im Einkaufszentrum einen Santa gesehen, welcher Kinder beschenkt hat ;-)
