I am looking for a way to log bus traffic thanks to knxd into a file that I could later re-open in ETS, in order to have the decoding and the automatic labelling with GA names and devices names. Is there anyway to have knxd vbusmonitor tool output a file compatible with ETS format ?

I tried to compared both outputs (knxtool vbusmonitorx and ETS .xml) to see if a simple shell script could convert it to XML, but the binary telegrams do not seem to match. Has anybody performed this task before ?

did you find a solution to that issue in the meantime? I'd like to do the same, having a permanent logging of bus telegrams on the knxd server (since it's running 24/7 anyway) and do retrospective analysis of the log files in case of issues from within the ETS5.

I am also looking for a way to convert ETS DataLogs (I collect them with Gira X1 as daily .xml files) into a format which I can feed (filtered) into an influx_db.
I have several months of log data with a lot of sensor data but I don't know how to decode, filter an import into another database like influx_db.

Any help would be appreciated.
