Settime() and day of the week

    Hi,

The output of the settime() command is (per KNX standard) showing also the day of the week in 2 characters.

Unfortunately for non-German customers this seems to be always in German language -> is there any possibility to have English output of this week-day for the "USA" version?

    Best regards, Sammy

We will provide a makro very soon (2 days) for this purpose. You can use this makro as an template for any other conversion.
Additionally we will also release the makros with English Description and a complete new set of makros for beginners - somehow trivial but perhaps usefull for a frist start.

      Thanks Michael.

I was more looking for a different output of the native call depending on language or time-zone settings to avoid consuming cpu cycles in string processing, but indeed macros could do the job as well.

Talking about macros, I think that current ones are self-explaining and useful for novice users. What I am mainly looking at are more complex ones that can be used as real building blocks. Eg. the rolloBeschattung macros are ok but are missing logic for window contacts, alarm situations etc.

I feel that a lot of programming is left to the user (which is ok), but that little is shared across the user group and no evolution is seen on the common macro repository. I would expect that in last months a lot of applications have been built by EibPC users, but at the end the library has not been extended yet.

Are there any initiatives to share code that I've missed? If not, wouldn't it further increase the attractiveness of the product if the library would become broader?

      Just an idea...

      Best regards, Sammy

We tried to expand the makros, as you will see in next release, to make things easier.
