Thank you for the extra information. Using your 'http' code, I have now been able to do some useful experiments and managed to get some activity going in my always-on pc!

Now that my toes have touched the cold water, I will continue to do more experiments (including extending my 'assistant-made' primitive EIBPC webserver; I would be interested in seeing the webserver code that you have for comparison purposes).

Thank you again for your help.
    Best regards,
    Perry

      Very good, Perry!

Sorry I've not answered this earlier. I've got a nasty summer cold.

I've got a very modest sort of webserver design, you'll see that on the attached file. The 'Multimedia' part is basically a couple of buttons I use to turn off standby energy. Not that I save a hell of a lot, it's more to make up for the additional energy consumption caused by the KNX system. If I find a way those buttons will be replaced by 'intelligent' code. In an ideal smart home environment program code would work out when it's best to switch off a light or an outlet.

There's a couple of EibPC users who really push the envelope, maybe some of them will come forward and post their work of art;-)
      Wish you a good evening!

      Cheers!
      Martin

Thank you for posting your configuration, Martin.
It is convenient to use it as a reference when building something up for myself.
