    eibPC und Gira Alarmanlage

    Hallo,

    Danke!

    Daniel

    Falls mein Deutsch undverstandlisch ist:

    Hello,

I have a GIRA 114200 alarm central. Due to the security measures of the central, I need to identify the physical address (not group address) of the device that I use for arming/disarming the alarm. I would like to do it thorugh Pcs connected to the EIBPC. Would that be possible, i.e. are orders sent from the eibPC sent from a fixed (and identifyable) physical address?

    Thanks!

    kein Problem.

To be honest, you found an easter egg: There is a not documented feature in the eibpc. It is the function "eibtelegramm(Eingang0, Eingang1, ... ) ". I haven't used it for half a year, but it still should work. You would have to configure Eingang#2 for a phy. Adress.

In our Doku I find as attached - I hope your German is sufficient enough. Anyway this is a copy of the structure you find in the standard.

With that you can create an arbitrary Telegramm:
If this is want you need, let me know. I would make a test.

Many thanks for the very fast answer. If I understand the attachment correctly, it refers to identifying the physical address for messages received by the eibpc. I probably was not clear enough. I do not need the eibPC to identify the address of the messages it receives. I need to tell the alarm central the address of the messages (arm/disarm) received from the eibPC. Therefore, I need to know the physical address for messages sent by the eibPC.

I believe I can know the physical address of the eibPC by monitoring the bus from the ETS3 to see what address do messages from the eibPC come from (if it is fixed). Is that correct?

      Thanks!

If I got the concept right, the EibPC is represented through an FT1.2-Interface to the KNX, all KNX-communication of the EibPC is done through the FT1.2 - and all KNX-packets originating from the EibPC will have the physical address of the FT1.2 as sending address?

Therefore, I need to know the physical address for messages sent by the eibPC.
Ok, I didnot get that (forget the easter egg). The physical address of the EibPC is defined in the FT1.2 and can not be influenced/changed by the EibPC. It is constant, therefore. Most IF have a 15.15.255 by default. You can change it with the ETS3 by programming the IF.

That is exactly what I needed to know. Permanent address, given by the interface. Should work. Many thanks!
