UI solutions?

Hello.
I'm thinking about switching from Sh.py to maybe use OpenHab for my KNX installation...

I was wondering which options there is for the User Interface - as i can see on the OpenHab page, there are some apps for Android/Ios - but the demo page doesn't Work in iOS?

Is there other solutions, than the default UI or the CometVisu - i personally isn't that happy about the design... Currently now i use SmartVISU which has an awesome design...

Hi Rasmus,

yes, you have several options regarding the UI, but to be honest, only the CometVisu has a similar awesome design like the SmartVisu. Unfortunately, it's a lot of work to set the CometVisu up under OpenHAB . I personally mainly use my Android-Smartphone to access OpenHAB. For this I use HABDroid-UI which really suits my needs. Sometimes and not very often I use a Browser on my PC to access OpenHAB. For this rarely used cases the Classic-UI is sufficient to me.


Currently the followin UIs exist:

• Classic UI
• iOS Client
• Android Client
• Windows Phone Client
• GreenT UI
• CometVisu
• Kodi
• Slack

PS: I don't think it is a problem to talk english in this forum here. There are enough people here, who can speak this language as well.

Hello thoern Yes - ialso think English should be okay here - can't see why not....

The ones you are listing here is almost the same like i found - and also i see the HABDroid looks pretty cool (a bitlike SmartVISU) but the one for Ios i've found looks very crappy - don't know if it is possible to set same design for the Ios app... maybe it is?

Alternatively i've found the HABMin2, which seems very promissing, it seems like it can do a lot of Things - the questions is then if it can do too much for simple Visualizing - i'm about to do some research for that....

All in all the OpenHAB seems pretty awesome, and can do a lot of Things...
