Hello,

I am using a set of :
Merten Universal Dimming actuator REG-K/2x230/300W and MTN649330 and wall switch MTN625199
to control a dimming output for my installation at 0,25, 50 75 and 100% of the power capacity of the device I control.
Both equipment provide format
3.* 3-bit Controlled
3.007 dimming Control
When I try to sonfigure a function of the ProServ, I do not have access to this format but only to:
5.* 8 bit unsigned value
5.001 precentage (0..100%)
And therefore I can not link my DIM group address used by the 2 MTN units with the ProServ
It works well in Switch mode and I got the feedback of the units, but I can not use the cursor to set the brightness value.

Any (bright) idea on how to address this ?

Hi Luc,

there are two ways to execute dimming functions:
- relative dimming - that's what you are using now with 3.007 dimming Control. It's used especially for wall mount switches. The (long) press starts dimming, the release stops dimming
- absolute dimming - that's what you may use especially with touch controls, as you can use a slider that sends directly the dimming value. This one also allows to view the status of the dimmed value.

So we recommend to use the second method with proServ.
All you have to do is to enable absolute dimming in the parameters of your Merten actuator. Possibly you have also to enable sending the dimming state as value.
Then you create two additional group adresses. One for the absolute dimming value as command, and one as absolute dimming value as feed back. Both are of type 5.001 precentage (0..100%)

BTW: you may also use the first method with the "AUX function", however then you'll get only a button to dim up or dim down respectively.
