Get data from http pages?

Hello guys.
Is it possible to get data from http pages? Even if they require logins?
Could the fetch url be used? And how to deal with the logins?

Hi,

please have a look to the fritzbox plugin. There is a library use (lib.www) of smarthome.py which allows http request with credentials.
