Plot/store energy data for long time?

Hello Guys.
I was wondering, is it possible to log data for each day the next many years? And is it also possible to visualize it with a plot period? I would like to log my energy production/consumption and show it in a trend.....

If I create a object called "consumption" and store the data in that - then reset it every night at 24:00 - will the trend the keep the data or how does that work?

Just Setup a tag, and give it SQLite = yes, then the tag is logged cyclic... Then you only need to make a plot view with the current Tag
