KNX/EIB siemens synco 900 valve ssa995 works with non synco900?

Hi

sorry for my english, but my german is not so good.

I have an existing KNX installation, and I want my heating to be controled by the siemens valve ssa995 (from the synco 900 gamma).

My question is, is the ssa995 alone usable or do I have to have a synco 900 controller? In orther words, is the ssa995 usable with another KNX-RF transmitter other then the synco 900 system?
