Hi,
I also tried Casatunes. I think it's a great system (i'm not affiliated).
My system has a Russound MCA-C5, a VM1-8, a Denon POA-3012CI, AVC-A1HDA and a Windows 7 PC.
The MCA has 8 sources and 8 zones. The kit comes with 6 controllers(keypads).
The sources are :
1-4 audio outputs from the PC running casatunes.
4-8 video ( 2 DVB-C tuners, 1 appleTV and MCE from the same PC) also connected to the VM1-8 for video distribution.
The zones are :
6 amplified zones for the bedrooms(4) and the bathrooms. Bedrooms have VMR1 video.
Zone 7 and 8 are not amplified. So Zone 7 goes to the Gym through one of the Denon amplifier channels (POA-3012).
The 8th zone is for my groundfloor since I don't play different music in adjacent rooms downstairs. So I use the BUS from the POA for this.
The POA-3012 has 5 amplified zones left( Sitting, Dining, Kitchen, Terras, +1 unused).
The POA is controllable through IP and RS-232. I have it set up through a Gira HS controlled via IP. Unfortunatly the HS doesn't handle Telnet (no feedback) very well so I might change it for rs232 through a MOXA nport. I have feedback from the POA through web evaluation but not very reliable.
The HS connects to the Casatunes server via the xxAPI in a frame which works really great. Thanks to the great support on this forum!
Casatunes can also control the MCA. So I almost have full integration. Just waiting for Casatunes to support the keypads.
