Gira DCS IP Gateway firmware upgrade

Hi

I have a Gira DCS IP Gateway (2620 97) with an older firmware version (03.00.15.00 - see image) I've downloaded the newer version from the Gira website (03.01.13.00) middle number is higher, so I assume this actually is a newer version than mine

Problem is, that when I start the firmware upgrade process, the DCS website gives me a message, that I'm going to downgrade my device, together with some warnings about possibly losing settings.

The only two buttons available then are "downgrade" & "cancel".

As I wasn't sure what to do, I clicked the cancel button obviously and came here to see if someone else also had this problem.

In the Fimware ZIP file that I downloaded from Gira, there's a readme.pdf file included, with the history of all firmware versions, and my current version is almost at the bottom of the page, so that also gives me the idea that my current firmware is actually older then the one I just downloaded.


Anyone here that also had this problem?

Not specifically, but the current setup is rather new, I have rebooted the gateway not so long ago. A backup of the current settings isn't that important, as I can easily start over from scratch, also because of a new type of door module.

so I'm not afraid of losing settings, but rather from bricking the gateway and rendering it useless :/

Could try that, if I can find these older versions, but a quick look on the website tells me that these are not to be found

I think I know what is going wrong.(still havent tried it yet, because i just got my DCS/HS connection working)

I think I picked the wrong file out of the firmware zip package.. I was looking at the DCS version info, specifically the hardware-version, where it states: 01.02-00......

So I assumed I had to select the IPGW03.01.13.00V1.bin

I now think, that I was looking at the wrong version info, I have to look at the software version (processor2-version) which is now allready 3.0, so I have to select the IPGW03.01.13.00V2.bin, as the readme.pdf states "ab Version 02.x"

This could be made clearer in the readme file, or maybe it's just me
