i want to give my thanks to Mr. Bodo from Zurich (KNXUF) for his great work.
i will soon post some screenshots of the KNXDroid application translated to german (the official update will be released soon).

I don't have "Lite" version and reason is very simple, if you download the app and you don't like it the you can (within 24 hours) cancel the purchase and you will not need to pay. this mechanism is provide by google.

Google has announced that they'll shorten the test period to 15 minutes in the next market release

you are right. if i knew that they are going to do so, i would certainly making a "lite" version of knxdroid.
but now, i don't think this is needed since the application has many users that reports success and everything is working and in any case of a user that is unhappy with the application, i am refunding immediately so that should be sufficient.

i have a "gateway rejected the connection" error! Can you help me what to do? Is it the internet gateway or the KNX Gateway (Gira IP Router).

now everything is fine. It is only possible to connect from one device. So i closed the ETS and now everything is working great!

Thats "normal" and thats exactly the problem with this type of connection*: people tend to have more than one end-device besides the ETS within a smarthome

*Except AFAIK the Siemens N148/22 and N146/02 which now allow tremendous 4 parallel connections. Might still be the bottleneck..

My question is if you are going to provide a customizable screens that control more than one switch?
I like a feature in android application "Financisto" (financisto.com). You can put it's widget on the home screen that will show your balance information and will take you to the application when clicked, but you can also put a "transaction" shortcut on a home screen that opens the application in a specific screen wchich saves you a few clicks.

Now, if I can suggest a functionality, than I would like to have a android homescreen with some shortcuts wchich save me from clicking "connect", "control" "folder name". Instead, it would me nice to just have a "kitchen", "salon" etc.. shortcuts that skips the connect (connects through a connection named f.e. "homwscreenshortcuts") and opens the customizable screen with more than one button. How about that?

Of course just the impressed user's expressions :-D

Those are nice suggestions, and i would certainly consider them for the next update of the application.

KNXDROID support

Hi,

in this version, there is no option to sync with the PC but in future versions i am planning to add something similar. note that most of the group addresses will be automatically discovered by the app so you will not have to manually configure them.

please let me know (on this forum) what are the problems that you have found so i can make it better.

I use the app and it is very good.
I configure a lot of switches dimmer and shatters. I search for the config files but I didn't find it. If my phone stolen or brocken I need a backup.
Can you tell how to save the config?
An other bug is that all shatters are driving in the wrong direction. Is it possilbe to invert the View?
I buy a tablet in the next month and it would be fine to have a landscape mode.

It is a highlight to show friends control the whole house by a cellphone.

the next update will come really soon. it will include the option to save your configuration into the cloud (using google docs account).
as for landscape mode, i am planning s special version for android tablets, but it takes time to implement that :-)

What ports are necessary to forward in my DSL Router (Fritz Box) so that KNX Droid is also working with 3G from outside of my network. A DYNDNS adress is available.

You better don't do that... Otherwise anybody could change your Knx Configuration!!
If you wan't to do so use a vpn connection.
