    Theben HMG04, channel status

    Hi,

Anyone knows how to display the channel status of a Theben HMG04 ?

The status is displayed on the actuator itself, via 4 LED, one for each channel, but I've no idea how to get it via the bus (for the Visu)

I think I've enabled all KO, but no track of the status.
I've monitored the bus, all 24 KO are exposed, all are at 0, except objet #13 "Grandeur de commande", which is not channel specific, but for the whole actuator. Any use of this data ?

    Thank you.

      Hi,

While looking at the parameters of the HMG04, "Generalities", I see:
"sending delay for status objects (if used)"
So, I thought there are status objects.... !
Maybe a wrong interpretation on my side ?
Maybe it is only valid for error status (not operational status) ?

So, I come to the conclusion that the Theben HMG04 has no status indication for the channel output (kind of brain damaged), hence not possible to display it in the Visu.
Isn't it a pitty for an actuator of that price ?

Can someone recommend a Heizaktor with output status per channel, please ?

      Thank you

        Hi Warichet!

The Theben HMG send the Status at the same objekt, like hi get the value. Thatswhy the send-Flag is enabled
The object 13 is the highest Value of the 4 Channels.

          Sorry don't understand
Can you elaborate a bit, please ? maybe an example would help ?
Despite all my efforts, I've been unable to get the status.
I'm very interested in your reply as we have 2 contradictory statements here.

In the mean time, I've got a reply from support Theben France, posted on the french forum.
The whole discussion is here. Theben's reply is in reply #7, quoted below.
          In summary, they say:
"There is no means to get the status. Indeed, if you imagine this status driving a lamp (or a signal in a supervisor) it wouldn't stop blinking in an anarchical way according to the time bandwith."
          Isn't this a bit a crazy answer from a tech sup ?
"I think that the main interest in heating is to know the temperature of the room, which is possible via the regulators"

My reply about this crummy argument
"It's not up to Theben to decide what I do with my KOs.
And .... "blinking in an anarchical way".... pffff .... if I take the default time period of 15min and a set value of 50% (worst case) the LED will be On for 7min30sec and Off for 7min30sec.
          It's not what I call "anarchical" !

It looks like an excuse to hide the shortcomings of the product.
Of course, it's much easyer than to modify the application, to satisfy a customer (even the most bothersome). (But they did it at Merten).

Yes, that was clear in the doc
