Replacing a defective BCU

How can I replace a defective BCU (Merten 690299) with exact the same type without reprogramming ?
The original BCU is still readable

That's not possible. The program is stored in the BCU. Without reprogramming this will not work.

If you have the application, you should be able to use the old programm, connect the new bcu to you ETS and programm it.
