I'm new user to this forum so welcome everybody! I hope it is not against regulations of this forum to use English language. Unfortunately I don't speak Germany and it looks like this forum is the biggest forum available in the internet about KNX/EIB system. However, I haven't found anything about "Sprache" in short version of regulations which I had to accept before posting.
I'd like to create intelligent heating systems for big building. It contains on three levels (below ground, ground floor and first floor) and the other building very close to the first one. It has got 850 m2 and 4 meters of height. I'd like to buy new boiler for natural gas with power of 200 kW. There will be new radiators and so on.
There are some requirements. First of all I'd like to be able to set from the central computer (with web application) date, time and required temperature for the given circuit. One circuit contains on about three rooms, the other circuit is for the other two to four rooms and so on. There will be ten circuits. The settings are necessary for two kinds of time, first is working hours (ten hours per day), the other for free time (fourteen hours per day).
I have to choose the required devices. I'd like to focus most of all on devices from Theben company. I guess visualization panel is the exception because perhaps they dont' have things like Home Server, offered by Gira, or NK by Lingg Janke. My request for you is to help me with the choice of the devices (especially about heating actuators), explanation of the differences between abilities of cheaper and more expensive ones (especially about thermostats) and explain the way how the devices work with each other (especially about heating actuators, KNX bus cable, and the other device, which English name I don't know, i.e. rozdzielacz to create heating circuits). I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
I don't quite know how the heating actuator works with that device to create heating circuits. I mean I have seen electro-valve (KNX) as the single device to be mounted on the ordinary valve of the radiator. Here I don't want to control any radiator because that would be too expensive to buy the KNX device for any of many radiators. So I want to mount it only on that device to split heating to many circuits. But what I have found (HMT 12 KNX) looks like bigger device, not electro-valve to be mounted on separate valves of the radiator, but rather bigger device. How is it connected with rozdzielacz? And how is it connected with KNX bus cable?
The other thing is about capabilities of the thermostats. Their prices differ really much. For example this one (Theben RAM 713) and this one (Ramses 701). What is the difference in their capabilities?
