Your are not alone. I am so sick of that MDT crap.

Whether it’s a Glastaster or LED Dimactor, I expect that things work without failure for 15 years, not fail after barely 3 or 4 years. I don’t buy and install crap for just a few years and dump it…





Below is a MDT Glastaster 2 Smart, just a few years working.. and I think we touch it maybe 1 time a month.. (almost never)

Take a look at the display, at the bottom it looks dirty, but it's just the LCD that is like that... At the top (above the 7) the display is more blue-ish.

My MDT AKD 4-channel LED dimmers are just as bad: flickering, endless hardware/software revisions (within a few years), confusion about what version works with what spots/ledstrips, and early units even stuck glowing red at ~10% when “off”, replaced once, but overall it still feels like unreliable junk. Honestly, I’d rather just spend more on Gira or another brand than keep dealing with this.

Fairly interesting pictures, I've never seen such an effect on the GT2 sensors.
As I have recently changed all GT2 to the "02" version, the oldest one are about 3 years old, but even with the "01" verions I never had such an effect on the display.

The AKD-0401.02 (!) are working just fine. For LEDs you can try different "dimming types". Depending on the LEDs one or the other may work.
And: almost NONE of the LEDs can be reduced to 0%, most of them start between 15-20% dimming - as cheaper as higher! High-Quality LEDs sometimes start at 10%. Thats not a fault of the actor, thats down to the quality of the LEDs.

Ich habe Glastaster bei Kunden seit 2017 ohne Probleme. Meine eigenen laufen mittlerweile auch seit 2019.

Ich habe meine (12) seit 2020 im Einsatz. Bei gut der Hälfte wurde das Display am oberen rand gelb, dies ist ein bekanntes Problem und wurde freundlicherweise auf Kulanz repariert.

Bei einer guten Handvoll funktioniert die Patchfunktion nicht mehr zuverlässig, man muss tlws. mehrfach tasten bis es erkannt wird.
