    Door locks

    Hi all.

Again, I am sorry to write in English but my German language skills are almost zero.

I need help concerning door locks. I have seen one or two topics about locks but even with online translators I did not quite understand.

    First:
How can I activate (open) a 12v/24v door lock with KNX? With a simple actuator (Schaltaktor)?

    Second:
What type of lock should I use? I wanted a lock that I could open/close manually with a key but also throught KNX. Also, I would like a lock that I could have it open when in the house and locked when away, so It would have to stay some hours open and some hours closed. Almost every lock I have seen opens or closes with power so one would have to feed power continuosly for it to open/close
Is there any lock that can do this?

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

I have the Fuhr Multitronic lock in operation. It has three modes of operation:

1: auto lock function. If you close the door it fully locks automatically. You can open it be pressing the indoor handle, by pressing the remote control (included in the price of the lock) or by closing a contact which can be done by an actor

2: normal function. Door behaves like a normal door, so it does not fully lock if you close it. Function is activated by closing a contact as well

3: open: door is always fully open

    Best regards
    Nils

      Hi.

      Thanks for the reply!

That seems exactly what I need. The only problem is that I've just google'd it and...

      AAAAAAAAiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

+1000€ for a lock?!?! I need 3 of them and I was not planning on spending +3000€ on locks.

Is there any other cheaper solution? I don't need the remote, btw

This G-U Gretsch-Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge: G.U-SECURY Automatic is cheaper - but this is not just a "simple lock" that fits in a standard door.

Yes, its quite expensive. But its fully integrated in the door. It is not visible, no motor, no cable, nothing, fully integrated. I have ordered it together with my doors and the doors came with the lock already mounted. Extra charge per door was about 850 Euros. I have two doors equipped with the look an one without it. next time I would order that for all doors.

            Thanks MarkusS.

That looks great, too. How much does that cost?

For my needs, I would have to go for the A-opener version but...how do I open it from the inside?

            The page states:
"Motorized unlocking – from outside: remotely controlled with G.U-SECURY COMFORT the "electronic key"; from inside: via intercom. "

From outside I can open it with an actor, right? (for example GIRA's door comunication). But, from inside, what do they mean with 'intercom'?
The standard version would simply open with the handle, but I guess the A-opener one won't.
This version has no key, right?

Even A-Offner opens with the handle without problems. This is a panic lock, it MUST be possilble to open it from inside manually.

A happy with this lock since many years.

WOW!! Great! Exactly what I wanted

Just one doubt: you are refering to the A-opener version, right? Because they also have a lock with panic function / fire protection.

                So...how much does it cost?

                  Exactly.

                  Prices? Around 400 - 450 Euros.

I have KFV Genius, Version CB.
I don't know the price because it also came with the door, but i guess it will also be in the 800-1000€ region. It's also fully integrated and can be operated in day (not locked) and night mode (locked), by closing or opening a defined contact with actuator.
It can be opened by key from outside, and by pressing a button in the door or turning the knob manually from inside.
I posted a picture of the door long time ago, how it looks inside:
