    - √ - Displaying a "list" in the Visu.

    Hi,
I would like to display a "list" in the HS Visu.
I've read the forum and it says, "displaying a web page isn't possible."
A list can indeed be called like a web page, but I thought as it is an internal HS thing, and as it is well formatted, it could eventually work.
I tried the command "Web site auswerten", no luck.

What would be the best way to achieve the display of a list ?
Maybe start an instance of Internet Explorer with the adequate parameters for the list, like: "iexplore.exe" MyIpAddr/hslist?lst=login&user=warichet&pw=blabla" but I've no idea about how to do it.

Thank you in advance for any pointer.
PS: if the topic has already been discussed, thank you for pointing me to it (could't locate it).

If you mean "Meldungsliste", then you can call "Aktion: Meldungsarchiv öffnen" from within a visu button.

It is NOT possible to diplay data lists with true homeserver tools.

In this case I would recommend Alfreds HS-Browser which is nothing but a controlable internet browser than can be layed over the visu window.

      Hi Matthias,
Thank you very much for the quick reply.

Maybe Alfred will be so kind to give me a tip, without divulging his trade secrets

Also, you mentionned, some time ago, that it is possible to start an application on a remote system. I'm very interested in this topic, but no clue as where to start learning it, so any tip is welcome.

      Thanks again

So far, I've installed C-move. Works fine, I can "Beep" a remote PC and start "Notepad" as a remote application.

I'm unable to start IE with parameters, like
          "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" 10.0.1.249/hslist?lst=login&user=xxxxxx&pw=yyyyyy

It does start IE, but with the default home page

          Any hint ?

Did you try with an "http://" before the ip address?

              Yes.
C-move breaks the long line into 2 parts, removing the quotes, and hence the remaining part of the command is just the start of IE, which it does very well

                Including parameters into quotes?

                  Yes.
It is as if the line is too long.

                    Hi,

It works now ..... after a reboot ...
I get my List displayed in IE.
Also, C-move doesn't split the long line anymore
No, I haven't done any update or any change, just reboot.
                    Bizarre !

Sorry, but i've not read this thread.

To start a web-site with c-move, you only need to send:

http:hsinfoman.de/help/index.html (http: is here the key)

                      http:URL
Öffnet den Windows-Standardbrowser mit der entsprechnenden URL.
                      Beispiel: http:hsinfomann.de .

c-move will start the app what is bundled with html e.G. IE or Firefox or whatever on your computer. You not need to call the app for that.

                        Hi Alfred,

I'm not willing to be picky, but do you mean http://hsinfoman.de or http:hsinfoman.de ?
Anyway, I tried both, no luck
Should it work with ver 3.9.17 ?

strange it must work! Are you sure, that c-move is receiving the udp-telegrams ? Did you tried "beep" ? Do you use HSIP for testing?

                          Just send: http://google.de or http:google.de

                          Needed is "http:"

                            Yes, works fine.
                            Strange problem, somewhat inconsistent.
When I put http://xxxxxx in the command, it does nothing
When I put the full path like
                            "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" 10.0.1.249/hslist?lst=login&user=xxxxxx&pw=yyyyyy
it splits the line into 2 parts
The first part is: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" works OK
                            The second part is: 10.0.1.249/hslist?lst=login&user=xxxxxx&pw=yyyyyy

mmmh, don't know how to use it.
I just started it, and it opens Notepad, showing the command I've just send.
How should I use it for my debugging ?

yes, strange - it seems you dont have a windows default app to launch web content - normaly IE.

The other way is to call the whole app means ie with parameters like you do. Anyway, normaly the other way must work.

Download and install HSIP. Using is easy. Enter IP (on same PC localhost) and Port. Use UDP.

                              As "Trennzeichen" enter 27.

Now you can send UDP-Telegrams and must not restart HS every time you try something out.

A hidden secret: send DEBUG to c-move to open a window showing you all telegrams receiving...
