ETS Recreating a project

Hi.

A friend of mine lost his ETS programming file due to a hard disk failure. Can someone tell me best/fastest way to recreate an ETS project from a site?
If I create a project with the hardware and get the bus monitor logs will it be enough?

No, not free. But you asked for the best and fastest option. Manual reconstruction will be quite difficult.

Unfortunately, paid apps are not an option. So... I'll have to do my best with the bus monitoring tool, right?

Yes, but you will miss the device configuration.

In ETS diagnostics, you can also read the device information. There is a check box to include group address information for that device.
