KNX/EIB KNXnet/IP service 0x020B SearchRequestExtended

Hallo!

Wenn ich in ETS ein Interface auswählen möchte (das Dropdown aufmache - zb. im Gruppenmonitor) dann wird über Routing ein Frame mit dem service_type 0x020B und ein ein SearchRequest gesendet.

In den Specs hab ich nix dazu gefunden (da hörts bei 020A auf). Wireshark schreibt "SearchRequestExtended".

Kann mir jemand sagen was das ist und wo ich dazu mehr Infos finde?

SearchRequestExtended erlaubt es dem Client, Suchbedingungen mitzugeben und anzugeben, welche Informationen der Server liefern soll (also so was wie WHERE und SELECT bei SQL). Das ist neu bei KNXnet/IP Core v2.
Die ETS benutzt den Service, um anzuzeigen, welche der Tunneling-Slots eine Tunneling-Servers momentan verfügbar sind und welche Adressen die haben.

Wo gibts denn dazu Spezifikationen? Die die man unter my.knx.org bekommt sind nach wie vor die KNX Specifications v2.1 von 2013. Da ist das nicht enthalten (genauso wie viele DPTs).

Hallo, hat das geklappt mit der Anfrage beim KNX Support?

Ich habe dieselbe Anfrage heute auch gestellt. Viel Aussicht auf Erfolg sehe ich nicht, weil die Spezifikation zu einem ISO-Standard überführt wurde und in dem Rahmen weiterentwickelt wird. Da müsste man schon den ISO-Standard kaufen und der kostet bei Beuth aktuell 350€ aufwärts.

We (I) are still working on an updated version of the KNX Specifications. So, we do not have a compiled version that we can provide for free, like the KNX Specifications v2.1. Until then, for these extensions, the Application Notes have to be used, but, these are so far only available to member companies, who have contributed to their creation.

Once ready, this has to be approved as new consolidated reference for the KNX technology, as companies will base development on these. Got to be correct.

Also, there is then an IPR clearance process. That is openly discussed and documented in KNX Association.

As to Application Notes, issue is always that these can be updated themselves, in newer versions, and, by other Application Notes. (I yesterday saw a guy referring to AN158 v04, while AN158 v07 is the correct one.) Within the Association, that is taken care of. As non-member, you should always consider that things may change.
