    EMO EIB Istposition

I've also 4 of those Heimeier EMO. I read their current position and display it in the HS Visu in % opening (0%=closed).

The parameter is indeed "Stellgrösse - Ist position"
    Flags: Communic, Read, Transmission

PS: those things are really too noisy

      Hi Raymond

So it seems that it is really only possible to manually read the current position. It is not sent automatically when changing the position like the Gira's do it. Well, it would be fine with me if i only knew how to send a read request with my MicroVis (see my other post).
The object "Istposition" is obvious and even the flags are the same in my project - K L Ü (C R T). The parameters in the ETS for the EMO are quite clear and if there is a combination of parameter values which will cause the position to be sent independently from a read-request, it is well hidden.
But maybe i just can't see the wood for the trees

To the noise: I can't say they are very noisy. I have installed them in two heating distributors, integrated into the wall of the toilet on the ground floor and the guest room on the first floor. So you can only hear them if you are standing right beside the distributors. Even then its hard to hear them and its not disturbing. Do you have them mounted to radiators in each room?

Greetings from the heart of Bavaria

      Martin

I think so. Anyway, I suspect you can read german better than I do

Reading would be fine, if you associate the "read" function with a button in the Visu, in such a way to refresh the data and get the most recent position of the valve. Or eventually "poll" it on a regular base, to automatically get the most up-to-date position. I've thought about it, but haven't done it yet. I still need to click on an icon to update the status.

        YES
I thought it would be a good idea
On the first opportunity, they will "fly", it's a pitty, not even 2 years old (and they cost a lot compared to their thermal equivalent, which are absolutely silent ).

          Hi again

That's exactly what i wanted to do and the problem. I can read the status of an Object on the MicroVis, i can set the status of an object on the Microvis and i can create objects which will send a write command to a group address in any way. But to send a "read" command seems to be not possible (except maybe by using a forth program, but i haven't done this yet).
And polling seems to only work during "booting" of the MicroVis and not periodically
Well, maybe i just sell my EMO's and buy Gira's instead

If you replace yours, replace the radiators as well

          Greetings, Martin

This must be an attempt of humour, but it's too subtle for me, sorry, I missed it
I've no reason to replace the radiators as well, good stuff, no noise (Vogel und Noot Flachheizkörper).
And radiators have a strong reputation for not flying well
