KNX/EIB Zehnder / KNXlogic ComfoWay V3

Hat jemand Erfahrung mit dem Hersteller KNXlogic und dessen Modul ComfoWay V3, mit dem man ältere Zehnder Lüftungsanlagen, die noch keine KNX Anbindung bieten, via Modbus zum ComfoAir inoffiziell in ein KNX-System integrieren kann?

Mich würde interessieren wie stabil das ganze ist und ob die Zehnder Bedieneinheit ComfoSense parallel angeschlossen bleiben kann.

I have the software equivalent of these devices: ComfoLib running on openrb Logic Machine. (I suspect that this ComfoWay device is actually a Logic Machine)
This runs quite stable.
As to the parallel operation of the ComfoSense: actually this should not be connected. However, I have two Zehnder units and with one of them I have the ComfoSense in parallel with apparently no issues. On the other unit there were lots of errors when the ComfoSense was connected. I could not figure out what the reason was that one worked and the other not...

Ich spiele ebenfalls mit dem Gedanken mir das Modul ComfoWay zu besorgen. Kann mir jemand von euch sagen, ob man damit nur eine Anlage steuern kann? Ich hätte nämlich 3x Zehnder ComfoAir 180.
Den Support hatte ich schon angeschrieben, bisher aber ohne Reaktion.

I have also tried to contact them (for an issue I have with my setup) but got no response...

But multiple ventilation systems should work with the logic machine. Or do you doubt that too?

The software add-on is advertised on the manufacturer's website with the following note:

ComfoLib add-on package:
- as gateway for one or more ComfoD, ComfoAir, ComfoCool, Arctic, WHR, …ventilation units of Zehnder

In general, the company leaves a somewhat strange impression on me.

The Logic Machine has 2 RS232 interfaces, so maybe it should be possible to configure the ComfoLib package to use them both. As I have 2 Logic Machines with one Zehnder connected to each of them, I did not investigate the possibility to connect both of them to one Logic Machine...

I don't know what is going on with knxlogic.eu. At the time that my installation was being built, the owner was quite helpful but since then he seems to have vanished. The system integrator that was responsible for my KNX installation can't get in contact with him either...

You can always look at Edomi or Home Assistant. I believe they also have modules to control the ComfoAir devices...

If so, I would need either 3 ComfoWays or at least 2 logic machines + add-ons. So an invest of 1.700€- 2.500€! A bit much.
Let's see if I still get an answer from the support. But with this uncertainty I wouldn't order.

I also had my eye on the Edomi (with Moxa) solution, the post is quite extensive. I think I can get it running for one ventilation system. But for 3 systems, imo it’s a bit more challenging and maybe too much for me. Furthermore, the most self build solutions are programmed for the ComfoAir 350 or 550. Therefore, I can not estimate whether that would work with the 180.

I could even switch to other ventilation systems, they are not yet installed (we are still building our house). But I have not yet found small systems with KNX connection and a good price. The Zehnder systems are the proposal of the executing craftsman.

Why don't you use the ComfoAirQ series? There is a KNX interface available for them.

Just in conclusion, I have chosen the Helios KWL 170w instead of the Zehnder systems. However, I will probably not buy the KNX gateway from Helios. But with that system I have enough other options.

Another question regarding ComfoWay V3: According to the product information page, the V3 supports PoE. However, only PoE (without additional 24V) does not work for me. I cannot find any documentation specifically for V3? Does anyone have a proper documentation for ComfoWay V3? I also do not get any reply from KNXlogic / Christof De Backere.

Hallo liebe Mitglieder,

ich bin absolut neu im Bereich KNX. Ich möchte gern meine ComfoAir 180 V von Zehnder digital steuern und habe mir dazu das ComfoWay V3 besorgt. Angeschlossen habe ich es auch bereits mittels 4 adriger Telefonleitung und gründer Phoenix Stecker zwischen ComfoWay und Lüftungsanlage. Zusätzlich habe ich ein Netzwerkkabel vom ComfoWay zum PC angeschlossen.
Wenn ich jetzt die IP-Adresse des ComfoWay aufrufe gelange ich auch zur Konfigurationsseite/ Visualisierung für PC/ Visualisierung für Tablet usw.

Jetzt hört es dann aber leider auch schon auf - Kann mir jemand bitte sagen, wie ich das Visualisierungsfenster konfigurieren muss, damit ich dort eben meine Anlage steuern kann bspw. Intensität der Lüfter, Zieltemperatur etc.?
Gibt es für diese Homepage eine ausführliche Anleitung? Soweit ich das verstanden habe, muss ich mir das Visualisierungsfenster und das Kontrollfenster und Statusfenster aus einzelnen Bausteinen individuell selber konfigurieren? Nur wie?

Und wie kommen die Daten von deiner Steuerung ins KNX? Geht die 4 adrige Leitung ins KNX Netz?

Noch gar nicht. Ich habe nur die Verbindung von der Lüftungsanlage zum Comfoway via 4-adriges Kabel und vom Comfoway via Ethernet eine Verbindung auf meinen Switch bzw. ins Heimnetzwerk.
