    Zennio Klic-DA v2 and Daikin Altherma 3M

    Good morning everyone

Forgive me for using English, but I don't know German. My question is about any known limitations in the integration between the Daikin Altherma 3M heat pump and the Zennio Klic-DA v2 actuator.
I checked the compatibility, however I doubt that the installation of Klic-DA v2 can limit the functionality of the heat pump, or at least the configurations made available by the native control module of the heat pump. Can someone give me some directions?

    Thank You

I am not sure what you are looking for... So let me start with some questions.

What do you mean with "native control module"? The Modbus interface that can be bought in addition?
You "doubt that the installation of Klic-DA v2 can limit the functionality"? Should it limit? Or is there a "not" missing?

What you could do is to put the Zennio in the ETS and have a look at the possibilities. If everything what you need is there and no important functionality is missing, give it a go.

      Hi Fidelis,

thx for replying. I was having a look to this post and I understood that once you put the Klic-DA in place, you are limited to configure the heat pump to work using only the internal temperature, and the MMI controller (I was referring to this as the native control module) would have been limited in its configuration capabilities.

Maybe I misunderstood, or the automatic translation did a poor job, so I wanted to make sure that I properly understood, since there aren't many options to integrate with these heat pumps.

      Thank You

Thank you for the clarification. I read the post you mentioned and I guess you understood it correctly. Although, I think that the limitation mentioned there is not correct (anymore?). Regarding the Zennio user manual the Klick-DA v2 will work as an additional control unit in parallel (!) to the build in interface, not as the main controller. So via the Zennio you are able to read values from the heat pump and "write" command to the Daikin. But the Altherma will still do the work on its own as long as you don't send commands.

In the linked thread was the concern that the heat pump will no longer react to the ambient temperature, but will stay at a water temperature set by the Zennio. Since you are able to get the ambient temperature from the heat pump via the Klick-DA the Daikin still knows about the outside conditions. And since the main controller is still active (and it is the main controller) I expect the heat pump to work as there is no Zennion attached to it.

Maybe you should contact Zennio directly to clarify further.
