KNX/EIB What brand to choose

Hi,

I'm going to build a new house and gonna put in a KNX for everything in the house.

I like the Siemens but when I told my electrician he says that Siemens does not work, you must buy Hager instead. Is it anything to this?

What brand should I choose? Siemens, Gira, Hager or what?

The advantage of KNX is that you can make a mix of different brands. We use the Siemens Delta miro for switches and power outlets, and different ABB, Merten and MDT actors.

Siemens is just as good as all the others. Half of my devices are Siemens.
If look for interesting prices, look at MDT.

i dont like AUDI! Because i love PORSCHE! So please dont buy AUDI! It is not working!

20 Years ago, there have been 4 Companies starting with EIB.
TODAY there are 250 Companies worldwide developing over 7500 different KNX-Products, that work all together because they are compatible!

If your electrician says, "Buy Hager not Siemens (or other Company's Products)", i am shure: He only knows Hager, earns alot of money with hager, and will sell you the "easy solution" with no flexibility! I bet on it! Had this case many times before!

Dont listen to your electrician. 99% of the stuff is ok. You should pick the material that most fit your needs and your money bag.
