    - √ - Homeserver 3 archive

    Hello,

I want to display the room temperatures of three seperate rooms with a graph on a display. Therefore I use the graph plugin in the quadconfig and I have connected the corresponding group adresses, so far so good.

In Archives I've made three seperate files for the three rooms. I just don't understand which values I have to fill in, in the boxes "ring memory" and "cycle" the help function isn't that helpfull....could somebody please tell me what this means?

    Thank you!

Im not completely sure, but I think it's something like this:
Ring-memory is the nummer of post the archive can hold before it starts to overwrite the first ones. I think the maximum number is 160000. I use 500 for my doorbell for example.

Cycle time is how often the value get written to the archive, think of it as the resolution. Without this option ticked you must trigger the recording by a command. Ex. my CO2 meter uses 16000 for ring memory and reads every 5min(cycle time) dead time 0sec, i got it to work this way, but it might be better ways....

        Thank you,

So if I understand you correct the following happens:

        - cylce of actual room temperature: every 5 min transmitted to the bus
        - 160000*5 = 800000 cycles that can be recorded
        - 800000/60/24 = 555 days that can be recorded
        - approximately 1,5 years can be recorded on the Homeserver for one room?

        Greetings,

        Ruud

            Of course minutes
Next week i'll upload the new data at my clients house.

Then he can monitor how many weeks, months can be recorded. It's just a simple visualisation nothing that important for him.

            Greetings and thank you,
