    Hello!
    Yesterday I had a problem updating the firmware on the X1, an error message appeared. After that, X1 stopped responding, the yellow knx LED is on, does not respond to the button PROG, and is not detected in the GPA. I tried to do a hard reset as in the manual, nothing helped. Is it possible to upload the firmware via an SD card? Or how else can I reset the device?​

    The first action should be a power cycle = switch off an on again

    Do you know the ip address? There is a webserver on the X1 which is the second chance to connect and look for the reason of malfunction.

      Yes, of course, this is what I did first.
      I turned off the power and turned it on again.
      I turned on the power with the PROG button pressed, as written in the instructions. Nothing helped!
      I know the IP address, and the device on the network with this address is not detected. The device is also not located GPA..
      I think the device is very frozen. And we need some means to wake him up.​

        I see on X1 a slot for a SD card. But it is empty, perhaps someone took out the card.
        What is this slot for?
        Can it be used to wake up the device? or replace the firmware on it?​

          The slot is for future extionsions, I think some external libraries use it already, but you don't need it.
          Since the X1 is deepfrozen, I would give it some time warm up again take knx power + the 24V off and wait for an hour or so. Then start the factory resett procedure.

            I tried leaving my X1 without power for a day.
            Then I repeated the reset procedure. It didn't help at all.
            I'm desperate.. What else can be done?​

              Maybe I'm doing the reset procedure wrong?
              I turn off the power, press the PROG button and turn on the power.
              In my case, one yellow LED - KNX and nothing else happens.
              I tried holding the button pressed for 3 minutes..
              Am I doing everything right?​

                there are several posibilities to turn off the power because the X1 has two power supplies: The KNX Bus red+black and the secondary power port white+yellow.
                According to my manual power off to do a hard reset means turn of the the secondary power port white+yellow.

                In fact you yould consider to contact the manufacturer: An interrupted firmware update may result in a condition only the manufacturer can help. You didn't mention the text of the error message, which could give a hint.
