Berker B.IQ with RTR and display

    Hi,
I have a Berker B.IQ push button 4 gang RTR with display (7566459x).
I've been trying to get the RTR to work together with ABB (ES/S 4.1.2.1) switch actuator.

Problem is that I'm not able to get Berker to send any kind of information about temperature out to bus.

It would be enough to get Berker to send 1 and 0 out to bus.
1 to turn floor heating ON
0 to turn floor heating OFF

Has anyone been able to configure Berker RTR to send out 1 and 0 to bus?
Any good advice how to get it to work?

    Best regards,
    JuPe

    Hi Jupe,

The B.iQ proposes three control modes for temperature control:
    - PI regulation (1 byte output)
    - 2-point regulation (1 bit ouput)
    - PWM switched regulation (1 bit output)

Your ABB actuator is working thyristor based, so I would recommend PWM regulation, as it is an accurate PI regulation, and switching frequency doesn't matter.
The output of the B.iQ you have to use in this case is Object N° 42 - PWM variable (switching).

Normally there shouldn't go anything wrong...

    Cheers from France

      Thanks for the hints.

Problem is that I'm not getting anything out from the object 42.
At least I can't see anything in the group monitor after I set the value below and above room temperature in B.IQ (manually). I have "Operation via display buttons" -> "Complete operation" so setting temperature manually on the B.IQ should work.
I'm assuming that I would see something going in the BUS when the temperature changes below or above the set value on the B.IQ but I'm not.
And I can see on the display that the heating goes ON but nothing is send out to the BUS from B.IQ.

Would you know reason for this?

      Thank you for your help,
      JuPe

        That's rather strange.

And I can see on the display that the heating goes ON but nothing is send out to the BUS from B.IQ.
In fact when the display shows "heating on" this will not mean that the output will send immediately ON to the bus.
However if you wait for some minutes (and I believe you have done so), it should do.

If you want you can send me your project, and I will test it with my B.iQ.
However I'm on the L+B the whole next week...
