KNX/EIB Errors in programming devices in ETS

    Hi all.
I am almost finished in programming my KNX installation.
It's my first installation so it took me quite some time to figure out the basics. After group address creation and testing... I am left with 3 major problems:

1- Gira Smart Terminal: The device is installed and functional. I've updated the firmware to the latest version (2.0.8 if I am not mistaken).
However... I can't get it to work in ETS. I have imported the vd3 to the database but whenever I try to add the device to my project
I get an error "The specified module could not be found" and it doesn't add the smart terminal to the project.
    What am I doing wrong?

2- Busch-Jaeger 6195/22: when I try to program the device it programs the physical address but then says something like this
"The application version in the device is different from the one you have so the application will be downloaded. Can take a while"
and after some time it just goes "device is not responding"

3- Gira KNX Alarm: almost the same as the above.

I can read the device info for 2 and 3. I've tried reset/unload with no sucess.

    Any help or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hello MikeMelga,

2 and 3: I would recommend that you try with minimal test network just with the device, the USB/RS232/IP interface and a power supply.
If it works there but not in your real installation, it might be due to a missing choke, a wiring problem (ring, distance) or (unlikely) high bus load.

    Regard, Klaus

      Thanks for your reply, Klaus.

But...if the wiring was wrong... would ETS still be able to query the device and read it's info?
About distance... the devices sit in the middle of other devices that programmed with no problem.

Anyway...I will try just with the device and the power supply as soon as I can (removing them and testing outside is still a bit of work)

      Thanks.
