KNX/EIB Import older products hangs ETS4

Hi,

I am trying to reconstruct my own KNX home project via the ETS App Recontruct. I am missing some components (old onces) in my product database.

I have located most of the missing product databases but i am missing some like the Merten with application ID 0C 500D 01, wich is a info Diplay from Merten. I have received from Merten the older product database (via installation of a ETS3 Plugin) and now I am trying to import the Infodisp.VD3 file.
When I start the import ETS 4 runs till "packaging the XML Data" and then the progress bar keeps on running... hours.. days. until I kill ETS4 from the taskmanager.

There are other product databases that I want to import, some work and some hang.

I cannot complete my reconstruction if I cannot import these product databases.

Can anybody help me ?

Hello Danny,

you might try the following: In the ETS4 program folder you can find a tool called knxconv. Drag the vd3 file onto this program and it will convert the vd3 into a knxprod file (which is located where the vd3 was). Then import the knxprod file into ETS4.

Please report if this procedure worked.

Yes, this seems to work. First convert the file and then do the import !!!
