HS/FS Request for advice: camera selection.

Hi,

I would like to integrate a small camera in the street portal (outside).
The purpose would be to capture the nummer plate of a car at the gate and do some character recognition to check the nummer plate against a list of authorised numbers and eventually open the gate.

Anyone can recommend a device for this application ?
So: outside model with character recognition software, easy to integrate in the HS.

I haven't seen an Optical Character Recognition feature in their catalogue.

Mobotix is my worst experience since I work with KNX. My relation with the Technical Support was going bad up to a point that I filled a complaint via the distributor to Mobotix's management, asking to be assigned another service engineer. No reply.

I must admit that the device is of suberb quality, the documentation and support level doesn't match the hardware quality.
As the admin of the french forum, I've also recommended Mobotix many times. Not anymore.

My T24 purchase decision was based on Mobotix's strong reputation and the many positive comments I've read in the forum.
Although, when it comes to practical details, it's hard to get a solution, I'm still stuck with integrating a T24 with the HS and the Visu via "Direktzugriff" as mentionned here.

So, Mobotix ? no thanks !
