      Hi Stefaan,

I almost finished to configure all my devices. Took a bit more than 30 minutes.
Sometimes the app crashed during that process.

When sharing the configuration (did that with dropbox) and open the configuration file on another android device the first time it doesnt open with the BlueHome app. Next time I open the configuration file it does open the configuration file but tells me that the lite version doesnt support the import process. You have to open the configuration file again while Bluehome is running in the background to get the import process working. The device I tested it is a Nexus 4.

@Netmare: Nochmal direkt an dich gerichtet das Danke für die Übersetzung. Wie sind denn deine Erfahrungen bisher mit dem App?

      Gruß
      Klaus

        Hi Klaus,

Could you share some details on when the App crashed during configuration, please? I don't see any crash reports in my google developer console...so it is difficult to debug this way. Did it crash during creation of a new device? If so, which one? Or did it crash while putting devices on pages?

        For the import process:
It seems that Android is very fussy about mime types, etc. From my experience, it works best if you use email to mail the configuration (you can mail to yourself for example - gmail is probably set up on all your Android devices).

Nevertheless, I will try to get it fixed with dropbox, etc.

Finally, I have been working on an "upgrade" of the sliding dimmer, such that it can also be used to switch on and off the light. This will save some space...

          Klaus,

I think I have fixed the dropbox problem (it is a common problem after dropbox updated to v2).
I also fixed the fact that it would not recognize that you have the unlocker app installed. So thanks for reporting this problem.

This fix will be in the next update of Bluehome (available in a couple of days).

Please tell me about he other crashes...

            Stefaan,

the app was crashing while creating devices sometimes. Dont remember exactly when and which device but will test again next week.
After I had created all devices it works fine so far.

The app is crashing when clicking a url. In your about page for example when i click your webpage url the app crashes.

            Regards
            Klaus

                Liteville,

Yes, I have updated the Blinds with a stop button and connected to an extra datapoint. In the process of doing that, I have also adapted the way BlueHome works internally, so I need a bit more time for testing.

Next to the Blinds, I have also added "Labels" or "Spacers" that you can place between a set of devices on a page.

Finally, I also improved the Import of a configuration (it will work with Dropbox now from the first time).

I will be uploading this hopefully the latest by the end of the week.

                Cheers,
                Stefaan

                  Vpn

                  Hallo,

Erreichst Du denn dein gesamtes lokales Netzwerk?

Im Netz sind noch 2 VU+ Receiver und ein Raspberry PI. Da komm ich überall problemlos drauf...
                      Komisch...
                      Achja... Zugang über PPTP.

                        Hello,

I have published a new version of BlueHome on Google Play:

                        ** Version 1.2.0 **

                        New features added:
                        - Tapping label of Absolute Dimmers will toggle a switch (so you no longer need a separate Switch)
                        - Added Stop datapoint to Blinds device
                        - Added Spacers (or labels) to insert between sets of devices

                        Other changes:
                        - Improved compatibility of configuration imports
                        - Rewrite of internal operations of devices
                        - Minor bug fixes

                        Cheers,
                        Stefaan

                          Hi Stefaan,

                          thanks for pushing updates regularly.

                          I enjoy using BlueHome.

Regarding my wishlist have you thought about using custom intents to work with Tasker, NFC ... like supported in AutHomationHD. This would offer a lot of cool features...

                          Best Regards
                          Klaus

                              @sunnhd,

Yes, I think implementing integration with Tasker would be very nice.

I was thinking of doing it like this:
                              1) Allow users to create "Scenarios" in which they can add devices and a particular action for each device (Light 1: turn on, Light 2: turn off, Dimmer 3: set to 50%, etc.)
                              2) Using a Tasker/Locale plugin allow users to activate one or more of these Scenarios

I think this would be flexible enough and make the integration with Tasker not too time consuming for me...it would also allow the use of these "Scenarios" from within BlueHome itself, of course...

NFC integration could also go through Tasker. This way I do not have to implement any code related to NFC reading, etc.

What do you think? Sounds good?

                              Stefaan

                                Hi Stefaan,

good to hear you will integrate Tasker.
I like the idea of creating scenarios inside of Bluehome.
Maybe you can implement controlling devices and there specific parameters later so that you dont have to create a additional scenario every time.

Having the option to use a basic uri scheme to open Bluehome from Tasker or other apps and jump back to a app from Bluehome would also be nice.

                                Something like:

                                uri scheme:

                                bluehome://command/show/home
                                bluehome://command/show/<room>

In Bluehome there could be an option to create a button in the navigation tree to open a application with a supported uri scheme.

For example Yatse (A really nice XBMC Remote) to jump directly to the Movies section:

                                yatse://command/browse/movies

                                or a camera app...

                                Have a nice weekend
                                Klaus
