UK/S 32.2 Onlye Negative input?

Hello.
Does anyone know, if it's true that the ABB UK/S 32.2 32 Channel in/Output KNX module needs an - (NPN) signal when it acts as a input? Wouldn't it be possible using a positive? (PNP) Seems like in the manual the example is with NPN:

Yes, you can only use NPN (signal) as Input.
