Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the post in English, which may sound not very polite in this very active German forum... Unfortunately, I am more likely to be misunderstood if I attempt to write in German.
I just wanted to let you know that I released yesterday the first version of an opensource alarm system that is designed to interoperate with Linknx. It is named "Homewatcher" and is available for simple installation as a Python package. Like Linknx, Homewatcher is fully configurable with a single XML file. No development capability is required.
You can use Homewatcher to build your own alarm system with, for instance, opening sensors and smoke detectors (Rauchmelders) interfaced with the KNX bus with simple binary inputs. Temperature probes can be used as well. Any KNX object that behaves like a boolean or a numerical value is a suitable input for a virtual sensor in Homewatcher.
You will get all the necessary information to install, configure and use it on the Wiki Pages (all in English, sorry again).
Feel free to contact me directly in case of trouble, for bug reports, feature requests or simply to give feedback about this package.
Regards,
Cyrille
