Another update: the shop eventually replied to my request regarding the shipping fee:

"Hello Mr. Xxxx,

you have to pay the shipping cost's fort the reclamation!

Best regards"

As far as I know, it is illegal in France to let the customer pay for returning the device when it is handled in the frame of the warranty. Is it acceptable in Germany?

it is impossible to run a serious company with the prices of "Elektrowelt München".

If you buy from the cheapest, you have to calculate something for the risk you are taking. As a private person i would never buy from the cheapest. I compare all the information i can get about companies i am dealing with.

If you do that too, you would never deal with such a company.

I agree that it was risky to buy there. And I will never trust such a company again!

I just wanted to report my bad experience here in order to discourage people that are willing to buy goods at elektrowelt to do so. I know that several people answered to my initial post by saying that they sometimes buy devices there. I would recommend to turn themselves to another more trusty shop like eibmarkt (or others). With elektrowelt, everything is okay until the first problem occurs, then it is a nightmare.

I will do my best to convince elektrowelt to change its mind but for 15€, it is very unlikely to succeed, indeed.
