KNX/EIB Is there a difference between EIB protocol and KNX protocol?

hello,

Sorry for not speaking in german but english is easier for me.


The question is pretty much what it says in the text.
I'm doing a research work about KNX and I know that KNX evolver from Ehs, Batibus and EIB...

The problem is that everytime I search for EIB is if as EIB is the KNX protocol itself...ist it true?

Can someone point me where I can find more information about this? (I already checker the official knx page)
