    KNX/EIB Can't find device's address

    Hi.

I have an old Busch-Jaeger 4x actuator (6195/22) that always worked ok.

Last week I had nothing better to do (stupid me) and I changed some device's address to make them sequential.

After that change my actuator was responding from 2 different addresses. I made some changes (don't even know exactly what) and I 'lost' my actuator completely.

I am using ETS3. The device's programming mode doesn't seem to do anything: ETS does not find it and when I try to program it it keeps waiting for me to press the programming button even after I press it on the device.

What are the 'standard' procedures to check these cases? What can I do to find it's current address or somehow program it?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

my english is very bad - but i will try it.....

In ETS you have a funktion "diagnosis", and inside "physikal address".
In this window you ca see all devices in programm mode.

Take your Problem actuator" in programmm-mode, so you can see the Address from your actuator.

    regards
    Norbert

      Oups,

Thanks but I already tried that. It doesn't see any device in programming mode

      Any other ideas?

        Ideas:
        • Try the same with another device (to exclude Errors with power supply, Iiterface etc.)
        • Make a minimal test setup just with power supply (+choke), interface and the device in question
        • Contact Busch-Jaeger support

If you want to see the device in programming, you must first press the programming button on the device and then you will see how an individual who has an address assigned to him after the change. Did you even see the device in the system? whether it can be removed completely?Google translate.

1 - All other devices respond perfectly to the programming mode.

            2 and 3 - Will try that

            Thanks.

            Marauder:

Yes of course I pressed the programming button
It just lights up and ETS keeps searching for it without success.

            Regards
