Gira Android app - problem

Hi,

I just purchased a new phone and installed the android version of the Gira app.

I correctly enter my server details, username & password, but when I click on my profile to make a connection, I get a strange error message (I'm translating it)

"The projectdata could not be downloaded completely, would you like to try again?"

This is the first time I see this kind of error. My previous phone was an iPhone. Has anyone an idea what could be wrong?

Try it once again during a faster connection e.g. WLAN.

I did not change anything to the expert configuration. If I boot my iphone again and start the app, there aren't any problems, I can connect as usual.

Could this error be from a expert version being to low? It's been a long time ago I updated the homeserver version. Maybe the Android app needs a specific version to be able to run?

I am no sure if you need a special version of the expert. Surely, you need one which is not too old. For example 4.x.
But what you need in any case is Design 0 in your Expert Quad Client Configuration.

I do have an "older" version, 2.6.101208 to be exact... Didn't see the need to upgrade, my opinion is, if something works, dn't touch it and for my iphone/ipad, it works flawlessly...

I had my share of firmware / update problems, where all bad stuff started to happen after an update (not Gira or the homeserver, something else)

I don't know if it works with your Expert version. But I think so as it works with your IPhone. If it is possible in your version please activate Design 0 and you are fine. Anyway, think about an update to 4.2 because of some other functions. It works fine.

Ok, thanks, I will try the update...

You should make the update because android need another design.
It is not the same like i phone.
