    HS Logic module: documentation

    Hi,

By doing a right click on some logic module, I get a help pop-up, I find this a usefull trick. On other modules, this feauture is not enabled.
How can I implement this feature ? I've looked the doc "Entwicklung eigener Logikmodule" didn't see it.

    Thank you
    Raymond

    Hi
These help files are saved in the 'hlp'-subfolder of the 'experte'-folder as html-files. If you want to write your own help, you have to name it like 'log11600.html'
But don't know if this works in the old experte (2.1), in the new one (2.2) it does...

I've missed the announcement of 2.2 I've seen comments about it, but didn't know it was released (thought it was still in beta)

There is no and never was an official beta! version 2.2 is RC.

Announcement was made on Dacoms homepage and here several times. You even can find the download in our download section.

          Hi Alex,
I'm unable to do it. I guess I miss something. Also, I noticed that the existing files, which are working, have only 4 figures (not 5). Do I need a special header in the html ? or register something ?
          Thanks in advance

            Hello Warichet
please, could you copy a file with four numbers and rename it to one with five numbers? If this work, compare your file with this file, because you have to use styles and classes.

If you have already made the update to 2.2 RC, you should find the help for logic modules in C:\Programme\GIRA\HS+FS\exp22\hlp

              I found there e.g. "log19041.html".

@Michel: Ich hab' ihn so verstanden, dass er die Hilfe selber erstellen, oder für zusätzliche Module die noch fehlende Hilfe ergänzen möchte. Ich weiss aber nicht mehr, ob dies im 2.1 ging...

Yes, indeed. Especially for my own modules, as I tend to forget the day after, what I've done the day before

Ooh, I missed this totally . I just converted the .doc to .html . Speaking of an optimist...
I think it is worth a couples of lines in the doc "Entwicklung eigener Logikmodule". Also, I noticed that some modules are available as ".exe". At first sight I found this bizarre, but now I guess it copies all the files to the right place, including the help.

No, not yet, just downloaded. I wait a while, hoping to get the files to put the Experte in english (I guess the text files are version specific). This is very convenient for me, but when I have to talk to someone who has the original Experte, it's not an advantage...

Thank you for your kind help

@Warichet: A few minutes ago, I tested it in the 2.1 experte and it did not work, sorry. You have to use the new 2.2.

Thank you for taking the time to do this for me , but I'm using 2.1.2 (not 2.1). I'll try and let you know.

Sorry to be a pain, but I still fail to understand this stuff.
So, I repeat the test condition.
                          Under Experte 2.1.2, right click:
on some logic module, it does generate a pop-up with the help.
on some other logic module it does NOT generate a pop-up with the help.
As you said, there must be the appropriate file "logxxxx.html" in a subdir "\hlp", but when all this conditions are met, still no go.
When I take an existing help file, known to be working, rename it like "log13050.html" or "log3050.html" it does NOT produce a pop-up.

How did you do it ?
I guess I miss something. Is there any reference in the logic module itself ?
Thank you for putting me right.

It must be a new feature in the experte 2.2.
Long time ago (experte 2.1 and then 2.1.2), I tried to convert my Logic-documents into help-files, but I couldn't get it to work. It seemed that there was only access on Dacom-helpfiles.
Now, as you asked for this feature, I tried this again in the new experte 2.2 and found this new feature.
So, if you want to write your own helpfiles, you have to use the 2.2 experte.

AND the 2.2 firmware for the HS/FS!
Only to install the Experte is useless, because you will not be able to upload your project to the HS/FS. If you try, you will get an error, stating that the releases of Experte and Firmware are different.
