    N148/22 and ETS4

    Hello,

Under ETS4.2.0 I get an error when accessing the N148/22
    Any command brings:
    Opening connection interface failed
I can ping the device.I brought an old PC with ETS3 back to life, and worked.
I searched the forum for similar problems, no luck

    Any hint, please ?

Welches Betriebssystem hast Du auf dem ETS4-Rechner?
    Evtl. Firewall, Virenscanner,....
Was hast Du in den Verbindungseinstellungen in der ETS?

      Hi GLT,

      > Welches Betriebssystem hast Du auf dem ETS4-Rechner?
      Windows 7, SP1

      > Evtl. Firewall, Virenscanner,....
Mmmm, normally no, but I forgot, I'll check again

      > Was hast Du in den Verbindungseinstellungen in der ETS?
The N148/22 is used in conjunction with eibd
I use the HomeServer for my ETS connection, it works fine.

      Thank you

Does it make sense to go to the old machine ETS3 and download a ETS4 db .knxprod in the N148/22 ?

            I'm confused with this N148 since day 1 :-(
My understanding, based on my readings here in the forum is:
there are 5 simultaneous connections possible
the first one has to be assigned a PA, manually, i.e. via ETS
the others are assigned dynamically, as needed per request, there is no control as to which PA is assigned to what
            Soooo, I'm obviously wrong :-(
It is still unclear for me how to assign de 4 other PA,

Die Schnittstelle kann 5 Tunnel gleichzeitig - für jeden Tunnel ist aber eine separate physikalische Adresse
            so far, so good

            (nicht die der Schnittstelle) einzusetzen
            ah ?!? where then ?

            - hast Du das bedacht?
            Mmmmmnnooo, my understanding is wrong.
It looks like I've put both feet in the same shoe ;-)

            N148 hat die Adr. 1.1.250
Tunnel für eibd 1.1.251 (darf es in HW nicht geben!)
Tunnel für ETS 1.1.252 (darf es in HW nicht geben!)
How do you do that ?
The funny thing, I've made a provision for 5 PA in my design, but never used them

Wenn ja, in Verbindung mit dem HS wäre ein IP-Router die bessere Wahl gewesen
            .
Sorry, don't understand. Can you elaborate a bit, please ?

Also, a bizarre thing, my set-up has been working since years. The problem appears with the migration to ET4, so I thought it is related to ETS4.
My conclusion is: the problem was already there, but hidden, correct ?

            Thank you for your help

I'm making progress, but still not good
First of all, using the N148 as a normal device (not an interface) brings a very short menu, parameters are IP addr, mask and Gwy.

Working on the old PC, ETS3, extra, communication, the scan discovers the HS and the N148

While configuring the N148, I see 2 options; interface and eibd
I see the IP addresses of those channels but no GA
I don't see how to assign a PA to a channel
Using the N148 I cannot do a "device info" put the Bus monitor works

On the new PC, ETS4, I see the channels but again, don't know how to assign a GA to each tunnel
Any attemps to use the bus brings the error message as above

I miss something, but what ?

                  Hi,

                  I'm stuck.
I'm unable to add an interface to the list of existing/discovered devices.
According to the recommendation, I shold assign a PA to each channel, but I don't see how. There is just one visible
Besides the bottom left corner of the display, is there another place to add/configure interfaces ?
In ETS3 it is quite simple add/delete and configure, but I'm unable to find the same functionality

                  Thanks for any hint

Someone willing to share Falcon.exe ver 1.7 for ETS3 ?
It looks like going via ETS3 is my best change to configure the N148

                    Thanks

Still problems configuring the IP interface
NB: the RS232, HomeServer work fine.
Is there any other menu then this pop-up, to configure the N148 ?
The only thing I can do is change the PA.
There is no button to change the IP, delete a connection ?
