KNX/EIB Incorrect switch value

Hi.

I have a very basic question.
Sometimes the status for an object does not correspond to switch object. Let me give you an example:

I have my kitchen light on. I turn on the alarm. When I turn on the alarm, it turns off all the lights.
However... although the status for the kitchen light is off, in QC it still shows the switch as 'on'. I've attached a picture of the iphone's QC.

Am I doing something wrong? Does it has anything to do with listening addresses?

Hi Mike,

in order to display the current state of the lights you have to use the return objects of the switch actuators as readonly parameters.
They will send the "real" state of the channel when an switch event was triggered and executed.

Additionally, you have to map the switch adresses to the button in your app.

In case the app will not allow to use two objects, have a look at acknowledge possibilities in KNX.

In Gira's QuadConfig, for each switch I use the group address of the actuator as the 'switching object' and the status object of the actuator as the 'status object' as you can see in the attached picture. The status object is always correct, but the switch status isn't.
This only happens in some switches.

* In the picture, the switch and status objects are different. They only start with the same name
