KNX/EIB - √ - Problem getting eibd to work (USB)

    Hi,

I have some trouble getting eibd to work correctly with my Gira USB interface.

I am starting the eibd, and starting the vbusmonitor.

I am able to write to group addresses using the groupwrite command, and the write shows up in the vbusmonitor, as well as are received by the correct devices on the bus, but it seems I can not receive anything from the bus (i.e. telegrams from the bus, e.g. from a light switch, does not appear in the vbusmonitor output.)

I am using Ubuntu 9.10, and have tried both the eibd contained in the bcusdk package provided by Martin Koegler, and I have also tried to build the latest version from git.

I have found some info on the net about others having the same problem, but have not been able to find any answer.

Just found out that if I use busmonitor1 instead of vbusmonitor1 I actually receive the messages from the bus. However, I can not get the grouplisten or groupreadrespons commands to work, if I try them while running busmonitor1 I just get "connection refused", if I run the commands without having busmonitor running there is no error message, but I do not seem to receive anything from the bus either.

Does anyone have any idea about what I am doing wrong, or how I can debug this further?

    Regards,
    Trond

    did you try a

    bcuaddrtab -w 0 usb:
after that, try again the vbusmonitor1 ...

it should be IMHO "bcuaddrtab -w 0 usb:"
Only once and probably after using the interface with ETS again..
