Gira TKS Tür öffnen über HomeServer (moglich!)

Hello, (sorry to have this thread written in English only, my German writing is not that good,.. only understanding)

Today I called the Gira Hotline to ask them "How to open a door via the DCS IP Gateway from the Homeserver".
Since the Door actuators are in "Türöffner mode", this can't be done. It is a security issue (there are some other threads here on the forum about the same thing.

Now I have an idea (hack ) and discussed that with the Gira Hotline. They say that maybe it can be done:


In the Gira DCS IP Gateway, there is a function called: "Automatic Door Opener", which is sometimes used for doctor Arztpraxis or other buildings with many people walking in daily. Normally you do NOT want to enable this function at home.

There is also a Baustein in the Homeserver called: "Query/set automatic door opener DCS client" (id: 16932).

Now: When you click "Open Door" from the Quadclient, you have to use Baustein: 16932 to enable the automatic door opener function.

Then you should 'fake' a door-ring, which is not possible yet, but since the module 16914 and 16921 are open source (I verified this with the Gira person on the phone) we could easily make a Baustein ourselves! So by imitating a 'door ring', the door will open.
At the end you should Baustein 16932 again to disable the automatic door opener function.

I am not able to get the source/logic of Baustein 16921 yet.. Does anyone have this? Then I can look what I can make to imitate a 'door ring call'

YOU called the Gira Hotline? Great! The most hated man at Gira? *lol*

16932 comes with Experte - right out of the box. On the other side, I cannot understand your problem. Opening a door is not a problem at all. Just use "16921 Schalthandlung ausführen".

Yes, I called the Gira Hotline.. (not for the first time btw). And yes.. sometimes they ask my name a second or third time.. ::s
I don't think I'm the most hated man at Gira, instead, I think they should send me some flowers, cause many people are using some sort of 'homeserver' these days and many of them buy Gira hardware or software (apps) they wouldn't have bought if things were different.. They probably love me anyway since I personally spend about >50K on Gira hardware past 5 years..

However, about the Türroffner:
You can not use Baustein "16921 Schalthandlung ausführen" because it is only for schaltaktors, not when they are in "Turroffner mode". The reason why you want it to have in "Turroffner mode" is because only then you can use DTMF *0 to open the door (your comment at: https://knx-user-forum.de/forum/%C3%...123#post584123)

That's why I found a possible hack to open the door anyway. However, I need the source of module 16921 which I can't find.. (which directory or which file should it be in?)

I'm looking for the same thing: I want to open my door triggered by the Gira HS. I was wondering if you were successful in your "hack"? And if yes: could you tell me how you have done it?

I had the same problem until today. I tought i have to set it up in "switching action" in the assistant, but its not. Leave this blank!
After setup everything else in the assistant, just press the Systemprog om the control device, then press systemprog on the relay (1289 00) and make sure it is in "Türöffner mode", then press the call button for 3 seconds until the aknowledge tone beeps and then release. Then just press slightly on the systemprog on the main device.
In this way, the relay is paired with the call button somehow, and the open door button in the DCS app and in QC/HS works
