Power Supply differences

Hi, does it make sense to buy other PSU's than from Meanwell?

MEANWELL KNX-20E-640 power supply unit with integrated choke 30V / 640mA 20W ~70EUR
MDT STC-0640.01 Bus voltage supply with diagnostic function 4TE REG 640 mA - ~190 EUR

Others from Gira/Jung are also ~200eur range - whats makes the price difference? Diagnostic capabilities, surge protections, safety measures, longevity?
Should I even look at something else than Meanwell?

This is the most sensitive device in your entire KNX system. If it breaks, the entire system is down.

Meanwell is new to KNX business, and initially had a design flaw which causes programming errors. Meanwell fixed that mistake, but I would prefer a PSU from a manufacturer who has proven long term reliability in KNX power supply.

If it's money you're after and you don't need information from the power supply (diagnostic data), then buy 2 of the Meanwells, one as a spare, then you're still cheaper than with the "big" names.

My Meanwell runs for about 3 years without problems and the second is in the cabinet, replacement time in case of error 5 minutes.
