HS/FS HomeServer to KNX communication.

Hallo,

My HomeServer doesn't talk to my KNX network anymore.

These last days, I've had serious problems with my KNX network due to severe storm, lightnings and several power cut.

So far, the KNX part is working again, that is I can switch lights on and off on both segments via push-buttons, the monitor works but I'm unable to send commands from the HomeServer Visu, no error message, no feedback, no icon change when a command is triggered.

Also, I messed around with the KO, so I don't know the right values 50000 - 500002 or is it 50001 - 50003. With which parameter should this match ?

Can someone help me troubleshoot my network or list the steps I should check ?

I've removed the RS232 devices
Right now, I'm using a Gira USB 1080 00
I've a interface N148/22 not yet assigned, used for tests

I'm still unsure about which device fits where, I'm using a FT 1.2 and a serial cable to connect the HS to the KNX.

Is that correct ?

This is an early model, "kleine scharze", running Experte 4.5 and ETS 5.6.4
Never had a big problem problem

I had some problems while updateing firmware on the "kleine schwarze" HS with Seriell Connection FT1.2. In order to bring it back to life, I had to choose "FT1.2. Compatible mode" in the Projekt Setting for KNX/EIB Coummunication Section. Even using the native Gira seriell interface which worked fine for years. This is still running with new HS4 on Firmware 4.8 :-) But Gira announced desupport for upcoming Firmware releases.
Can you tried this ?

It looks like it is not exactly the same problem. You are dealing with a "programmed" situation. In my case, it was totally "un-foreseen".

This time I really thought I was toast.

Now, most of the basic functions are working again via the HS Visu.
I've still to fix damage I've caused while troubleshooting.
